First initiative of its kind in the U.S. helped Ò×ʤ²©¹ÙÍø become national leader

The University of Ò×ʤ²©¹ÙÍø is proud to be a national leader in sustainability and celebrates 25 years of infusing sustainability across campus and beyond. Hear from Tom Kelly, founding executive director of Ò×ʤ²©¹Ù꿉۪s Sustainability Institute, Ned Dane and Katie Bouton, Ò×ʤ²©¹ÙÍø sustainability advisory board co-chairs, recent Ò×ʤ²©¹ÙÍø graduate Kaelli Gehrung ’22 and Karen Spiller, Ò×ʤ²©¹Ù꿉۪s Thomas W. Haas Professor in Sustainable Food Systems, as theyÌýdiscuss Ò×ʤ²©¹Ù꿉۪s 25-year university-wide sustainability efforts and the three key things that have enabled our community to sustain the work over time and into the future: visionary philanthropy and stability, principles of sustainability grounded by the international scientific and policy community and civil society, and a foundation of continuous collaboration.
