Ò×ʤ²©¹ÙÍø experience inspires Mel Nagashima ’22 to pursue nonprofit work

Mel Nagashima ’22 chose Ò×ʤ²©¹ÙÍø to escape his comfort zone and wound up leaving withÌýa job that will allow him to impact his own community. Nagashima was able to workÌýhelping immigrant families with the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center during his time in theÌýSemester-in-the-City program, and that ultimately pushed him to pursue work in theÌýfield of nonprofit communications, where he landed a full-time job after graduation with the Boston Foundation. Nagashima credits his studies in communication and international affairs, as well as the real-world experience gained through Semester-in-the-City, for paving the way to his current professional path.
