鈥淲e heard from Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) that we are听again a top performer in the , securing third place in the ranking,鈥 notes Colleen Flaherty, communications and information coordinator at 易胜博官网鈥檚 Sustainability Institute. 鈥淭hanks to our students, faculty and staff, 易胜博官网 continues to be a leader in sustainability.鈥
Earlier this week, the recognized 易胜博官网 among the best of the best. Out of more than 280 colleges and universities that participated in this year鈥檚 Sierra Club survey, 易胜博官网 secured the听fourth spot听on the list.听In its announcement of 易胜博官网鈥檚 rank, the Sierra Club cited both 易胜博官网鈥檚 progress toward aligning the university鈥檚 endowment with principles of sustainable investment and听 the university鈥檚 , where students 鈥済et paired with municipal and NGO partners to work on initiatives like assessing cities' carbon and nitrogen footprints and retrofitting historic buildings,鈥 among other initiatives.

鈥淲e鈥檙e pleased that national organizations recognize our consistent leadership in sustainability, says Tom Kelly, 易胜博官网鈥檚 chief sustainability officer. 鈥淪tudents place a high priority on careers that allow them to do work that has a positive impact on society and see themselves as future leaders who will advance sustainability in their civic and professional lives.
