Fox publishes research on factors that influence intervention

With one of the largest samples to date,Ìý faculty fellow Nicole FoxÌýof California State University-SacramentoÌýconducted 35 in-depthÌýinterviewsÌýand analyzed surveys fromÌý273 individuals who participated in rescue efforts during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide in order to identify what factors made people intervene in dangerous political and war time events.

Fox and her colleague Hollie Nyseth Brehm of Ohio State University recently published their research, which "explores the importance of social networks, socialization and intergenerational stories of rescue to prosocial behavior" in Social Forces.Ìý
