Promissory Notes
A promissory note must be signed by the borrower before a loan is disbursed to a student account. A promissory note is a contract between a borrower and a lender that includes all the terms and conditions under which the borrower promises to repay the loan.

Alternative Loans - Alternative Loan applications must be completed and promissory notes returned to your lender by early August in order for proper credit to appear on the student account for fall semester.
Non-University Scholarships
Non-university scholarships are those that come from an outside organization (scholarships that are not issued by 易胜博官网).
- Promptly forward checks and award letters to Student Financial Services. Please include the student's ID number. Non-university scholarship funds will not be credited to student accounts until the checks have been delivered to 易胜博官网 Student Accounts.
- If the check is made out to the student, it must be endorsed with the following statement: 鈥淧ay to the Order of 易胜博官网,鈥 then the student's signature. Please include the student's ID number. Check Signing Tutorial
- Please enclose any award letters from donors with the scholarship check. This will help ensure that the funds are posted accurately. Please try to avoid forwarding the award letter separately from the check.
- Financial aid awards may require adjustment due to outside scholarships.

Entrance Counseling

Disbursement of Aid
Most loans and grants are split over the academic year: half toward fall semester and half toward spring. This means, for example, that a $1,000 loan will be applied in equal $500 payments each semester. Students and families borrowing alternative or PLUS loans intending that they be applied other than half-fall/half-spring should specify this on their loan applications.
Federal Work Study Program
Work-study funds are not applied to the student's account. These funds are paid biweekly through a paycheck to the student throughout the semester based on the number of hours worked in work-study positions. For more information on Federal Work Study, please visit, Financial Aid Work Study.
Company/Agency Sponsorship
Students receiving sponsorship by government agencies, ROTC, school districts, companies, or other third parties should forward notices, bill authorizations, or other evidence of the sponsorship on official letterhead to:

Non-university sponsorships must be pre-approved by the 易胜博官网 Credit Department. Sponsorships that specify completion of coursework prior to payment are not accepted. If a company or agency has a reimbursement-to-student policy, the student is responsible for paying the total charges to 易胜博官网 at the time of registration.

Students with company/agency sponsorship should be aware and have agreed that the University will release relevant student account information to the sponsorship provider.
This option is available for degree students only. Third party sponsorships are not accepted for non-degree students.
