E-Waste FAQ鈥檚
What will happen to my donated item?
If it's a laptop that meets criteria to be refreshed and reused, the data will be securely 鈥渨iped鈥 and then 易胜博官网 ET&S will refresh it and the Laptop Loaner program will make sure a 易胜博官网 student gets it.
If it's any other item, our partner CoreTek will collect it, securely wipe the data, and then resell it and/or recycle it depending on its condition. A portion of resell funds will come back to 易胜博官网, and benefit the Laptop Loaner program!

What is the Laptop Loaner Program and how will my donation benefit it?
The Loaner Laptop program provides laptop computers to 易胜博官网 students in need. It started during the pandemic as a way for 易胜博官网 undergraduate and graduate students who don't have the financial means to access or replace the technical resources required to learn and study. It has continued to see a high volume of requests for the laptops and as they are ending their life cycle, we are looking to be able to purchase or repurpose laptops to add to our program.
